Rapper The Game given light sentence for punching Nigerian born Police Officer

Despite his earlier utterances suggesting he expected to get a jail term for punching a Nigerian born LA cop in the head, rapper The Game has entered a plea deal that will see him stay out of jail for the case.

The Game was playing basketball in 2015 when a scuffle erupted causing him to punch an off duty police officer named Onyebuchi Awaji in the face.

Awaji then sued The Game for $12 Million accusing the rapper of causing damage to his brain. The Game was then charged to court for assault, misdemeanor and battery.

Awaji got $100 in settlement while The Game got 3 years probation, 120 days of community service and 26 anger management classes.

He is to ensure he stays out of trouble for the next 3 years or face the risk of going to jail.
